Three reasons businesses partner with VRC over other rugby clubs in BC.
Brockton Oval sits inside Stanley Park, walked past by millions of visitors a year, with the city skyline as backdrop. Branding on the touchline lives in every match-day photo, and the clubhouse is one of the most photographed buildings on Coal Harbour.
Two senior men's sides, a senior women's side, Mini and Youth at Brockton, and a 100-year alumni network across Canada and the rugby world. Every adult comes through the same clubhouse on Coal Harbour. One partnership reaches all of it.
VRC RCS is a registered charitable organisation. 100% of partnership contributions go to the rugby section of the club, and donors qualify for a charitable tax receipt against the full value of their contribution.
About the club
Vancouver Rowing Club Rugby is the rugby section of the Vancouver Rowing Club, founded in 1908 and based at Brockton Oval in Stanley Park. The club competes across BC Rugby with men's and women's sides and runs Minis and U16 programs at the same ground.
More than a hundred seasons in, the alumni list includes Rugby Canada captains, MLR players, and generations of local Rowers. The club is a registered charity. Donations go directly to the rugby section to support players, coaches, and the program that keeps turning out the next batch.
What we're building
The club runs on annual operations, youth development, coaching, and travel. Over the next three seasons our plan is concrete and unglamorous.
Continue to field men's and women's sides at the top tier of BC Rugby. Sustained competition at that level takes coaches, fees, travel, and pitch time.
Keep expanding Minis and U16 at Brockton Oval under Chris Seyler. Most senior Rowers came through a youth program somewhere. We want it to be ours.
Retain and develop experienced coaches across men's, women's and youth. Level 2 certifications, visiting coaches, and resources for the coaching staff who volunteer their time.
The clubhouse is where this club lives. Post-match, tours, alumni events, season dinners. Partnerships help keep it open, active, and full.
100% of partnership contributions go to the rugby section of the Vancouver Rowing Club. Funds cover coaching, kit, travel, youth development, and the match-day costs of keeping senior men's and women's sides on the pitch.
Partners get three concrete things in return, listed below. The club aims to grow its annual operating budget from roughly $60,000 to $120,000 over the next three seasons, and partnerships sit at the centre of that.

VRC RCS is a registered charitable organization. Donations from members, non-members, or corporations qualify for a charitable tax receipt.
Cheques should be made out to VRC RCS, not the Vancouver Rowing Club. Include the donor's mailing address with the cheque or accompanying paperwork so the tax receipt reaches the right place.
